Hi, I'm Myranda!
I currently call Denver home, but I love exploring across the state! I love hiking, off-roading in my 4Runner, car camping, skiing, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and trying new hobbies and sports! I may be biased, but Colorado is
one of the prettiest states!
I grew up in Missouri, then moved to Wisconsin, then to Texas, before ending up in Colorado! While I've always
been active, living in the Midwest and South didn't give
me as many opportunities to explore outdoors.
I moved to Denver in December 2019. Needless to say, 2020 did not go how I expected - I'm sure many of you can relate.
I lost a job I loved, churches were shut down, gyms were shut down, restaurants were shut down, and it was very hard to make friends and have a social life. I joined some local Facebook groups - primarily related to hiking. That gave me the confidence to explore, even if that meant taking my mom initially because I was scared, and going solo at times. I started making a "bucket list" of hikes I wanted to do, which quickly turned into a spreadsheet (nerd alert).
Getting outside has been therapy and church, all rolled
into one. Hiking and exploring gets my mind off the
stressful things in life (can we permanently turn the TV off?) and makes me focus on what's immediately in front of me. I've gotten to explore some of the prettiest places in the
state and I'll be forever grateful that I got out of my
comfort zone and into nature.

I've had people tell me how my life "looks amazing" or how
I go to "so many cool places" but I want to encourage
people (especially women), you can too! I grew up visiting Colorado on vacation, but hadn't done much hiking. I've learned to love going on solo hikes and I've met some really great people on the trail! Hiking with friends is just as fun, don't get me wrong, but not everyone wants to get up at
3am to drive to the trailhead and get there before
sunrise, am I right? Ha.
I'm excited to share my experiences, hiking trips, and tips
I've learned along the way! I'm here to be authentic. I want
to inspire you to feel confident (safely) exploring, wherever you call home, and whatever fitness level you're at.

Welcome to Myranda in the Mountains!
